August 8th.
Still a hot and humid day.
Still laughing together.
Still laughing together.
Still forgiving one another.
Still growing more in love.

I believe wedding anniversaries are a big reason to celebrate. As Tim Keller says in his book, The Meaning of Marriage:
"This is the reason that marriage is so painful and yet so wonderful is because it is a reflection of the gospel, which is painful and wonderful at once.”
It's no cake walk. It's a lot of hidden, hard feelings/conversations/moments which can feel defeating when measured against a world that showcases their highlight reels. That's why we remember. We celebrate. Marriage is the long-game. Not a fleeting feeling or a falling in and out thing. It's a choice. It's a reflection of the covenant God made with us.
So we remember what our first Love gave us so that we can freely give to each other from the Love-well that never runs out.

Cheers to 7 years, bby cakes. XO
