And party we did! If you have a kid there's a great chance you know of Bluey. The cutest kid's show for this generation by far. I mean the grannies episode can win any age over. They are hoots!
We threw a bluey-themed pool party at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Considering putting on my resume: "birthday card enthusiast". Loved designing this up for my little bud.

He is a big helper and is willing to lend a hand when asked.
If anyone leaves the room Peter will make sure to question your whereabouts at least 100x's over. "Where'd Jacky go?"
He loves dogs. Scratch that, he's obsessed. I genuinely think he thinks he's part dog. He will pant, whine, crawl, eat and play like a dog.
He is funny. This one has a different humor from Jack. Jack is witty and Peter is just a straight goofball. He beats to his own drum, and he has this swagger when he dances that makes me smile.

Summer and smoothies go together like floating in the pool on a hot day. Purely refreshing. And, bonus, good fuel for our bodies. I have been rotating between 3 different smoothies, and each are delicious in their own way. When I whip up a smoothie I eyeball everything. No time for measurements, my friends. Trust you gut and add a little more of what you love and subtract what you don't (or don't have on hand). Smoothies can be so versatile that's what makes them simple and fun.
I've been loving Kelly Leveque's guide to making a fab four smoothie. Her smoothie formula suggests 1 serving protein + 1 serving fiber + unlimited greens + 1/4 c fruit + 2 tbsp fat + liquid + superfood to best optimize our immune system.
But remember... I don't measure ;) So enjoy keeping it simple and keeping your body/mind healthy and happy because you just made a delicious treat.
Half frozen zucchini
Surprised to see zucchini in one of the ingredients? I was hesitant too! Thanks to my flourishing garden I figured I have nothing to loose, and I was so surprised. The texture and flavor is smooth and well blended.
Happy sippin'!
Buckkkkkle up, ya'll! This vacation was one for the books and I am excited to share it with you. Never did I once think "let's go to Utah for a vacation," but I am so glad my friend, Rachel, did! Everywhere I looked I couldn't fully grasp the reality of what I was seeing. It felt fake, like a set-up at Disney World.

See what I mean?
First stop: Las Vegas, baby.
None of the boys have experienced the strip before so we knew this was a non-negotiable, especially since they've become quite the gamblers due to sports betting opening in Michigan. ;)
It's so good to see cities hopping with people again.
The desert is a dreamy place; Zion National Park was no exception. We started with angel's landing, then followed it with riverside walk to the entrance of the Narrows, and finished with the lower pools.

^ The colors. The hazy light. The mountains jutting in all directions. Hello, creation. You're remarkable.
I can't wait to share part two with you soon! Next up: Bryce Canyon.
My favorite part about birthdays recently is watching my little dudes celebrate in their own way. Peter loves singing happy birthday and brought a toy-kitchen "cake" while wearing an oven mitt (I melted on the spot) to me so we could sing. And Jack loves finding and gifting silly birthday cards so we can laugh while reading it. I love being loved by me people. They are a joy. Yes they're still emotional little rascals, but joy isnt bound by the tidal waves of emotion. Joy is squeezing the good out of life if we have eyes to see it.

And today on my 28th birthday I want to remember and share 28 joy-filled memories/milestones/moments that I am grateful for!
4. Watching Jack jump off the diving board for the first time
